After the RuhrSummit in Bochum, the Innovate! Osnabrück and numerous regional events organized by the Chambers of Agriculture, belonged to the trade fair duo expoSE & EXPOdirekt from the Association of South German Asparagus and Strawberry Growers e.V. (VSSE) about our first exhibition highlights, which we were able to visit with the FreichtPilot. After two eventful days with almost 7000 trade visitors in Karlsruhe in 2019, we were already looking forward to seeing you again this year with our innovation.
As is well known, the year 2020 is marked by numerous trade fair cancellations, which unfortunately also affected the anniversary edition of ExpoSe & ExpoDirekt. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to get a taste of the trade fair air this year and the freight pilot stand will remain packed up.
Despite the cancellation of the exhibition, the VSSE as organizer has decided to award this year's Innovation Awards. VSSE CEO Simon Schumacher explains: “Even though it is a shame not to be able to present the prizes in person at the trade fair, it was important for us to send the award to the winners. On the one hand, exhibitors have pushed ahead with their innovations despite Corona, and on the other hand, growers are looking for products and solutions to current problems, [...] to make direct agricultural marketing more effective”
Another award for Freight Pilot
Although the (physical) ExpoDirekt had to be cancelled, we received congratulations that the top-class jury selected Freight Pilot as Innovation of the Year! This innovation prize means a lot to us in 2020, as it shows that we were able to help many farmers, especially in these difficult times. It rewards our Contribution made to strengthen regional direct marketing this year.
In addition to the great joy of receiving this award, the melancholy of not having to attend trade fairs this year is also increasing. The valuable exchange of experience with our customers and all representatives from the industry, associations and politics is irreplaceable. We are therefore all the more looking forward to seeing you again soon at our Freight Pilot stand next year.
