We've been waiting so long for this — on August 21, 2025, the time had finally come: The first summer party of the FrachtPilot crew was imminent. We had high expectations — or maybe none — and they were all exceeded.
Organized by our organizational talent Emma, who didn't tell us anything in advance about what was in store for us, we were kept in the dark until the end. And what am I supposed to say? The surprise was successful!
We started with a bike ride into the blue — in fact, it was a perfect summer day for our summer party with blue skies and bright sunshine. We drove through fields and fields and completely new sides of Münster opened up to us — Münster's northeast!? No, the trip through Coerheide had a real holiday feeling. Walking along green meadows, golden fields and an astonishing number of sunflower fields, you first notice how beautiful the surrounding area of Münster is. And that there are actually hills in Münsterland — who would have thought that?!
We made the first stop completely exhausted after 7 km at the Heidekrug, where we strengthened ourselves to make the last 6 km to the finish line — the Tennenhof.
But that's when it really started: Once there, a cool refreshment and the event of the day awaited us: archery with two super nice colleagues from Teamgeist.com, who gave us excellent guidance. In two teams, we eagerly competed and even hit the target. Some arrows missed, but they all remained heale—arrows and people. We split into two teams and had to “just” hit the target, sometimes balloons on the target. But the biggest challenge, even though the teammates stood aside to help, was shooting blindfolded.
After initial difficulties, Team 2 (Sebastian, Paul, Kathi, Alex, Steffen and Leo) was able to catch up but was then mercilessly beaten by Team 1 (Jan-Hendrik, Jorik, Emma, Luca and Nils) — what do I say — hit. Pure beginner luck, of course. Instead of bad blood, however, there was “only” a group photo. Unfortunately not all of the FrachtPilot crew were able to attend due to vacation and illness. But next time;)
The winning team was then allowed to go to the buffet first, but no one could remember it half an hour later: Everyone jumped into the buffet completely famished. But after all, we had earned that.
Grillmaster Ralf Hohelüchter from Tennenhof has provided us great with meat from the master butcher Andreas Sperber, managing directors of organic meat NRW, for which we would like to thank both of them very much again! We ended the evening completely satisfied with good food, cool drinks and funny conversations. After one or two beers, one or the other anecdotes from the past were unpacked and a case of beer was wagered.
We would also like to thank Emma again for the great organization and are looking forward to the next team event!
