If you our blog Do you know, will you know that we are here mostly tips about regional direct marketing. Basic things, which you should pay attention to or what news from the Freight pilot-Updates were introduced. But today, there's a different kind of blog post to read.

We were exhibiting at the trade fair duo again Expose/ExpoDirect represented. And if you're interested in how the whole process took place and how we rate the trade fair in retrospect, then be sure to stay tuned!

The planning

A quick note right at the start: When we talk about ExpoSE here, we mean the trade fair duo, which consists of ExpoSE and ExpoDirekt. For the sake of simplicity, we always call them expoSE in this post.

2 years ago, i.e. in 2019, we already took part in ExPose in Karlsruhe. Last year Unfortunately, the trade fair took place due to the corona pandemic not instead. However, the organizers still have the Innovation prize and we were able to clear it off with our Freight Pilot. You can find out more about this here.

With a mask on the face and 2G regulation, ExpoSE was able to take place again this year. Of course, we didn't let ourselves be slouched and therefore took part in the fair.

The planning took a lot of work and effort from us, but It was definitely worth it. We were also simply looking forward to attending a trade fair again. For the professional audience, our Software to present. See other people. Just what we often sorely missed, especially at the start of the pandemic.

The planning was demanding, but that's what trade fair preparations are like. As a team, however, we were able to master all tasks well and especially thanks to Marc, our trainee in graphic/video design, we were able to implement everything brilliantly. By the way, you'll find here an interview with Marc. There he talks about his experiences with FrachtPilot. So click on it! 😉

We were also able to manage the rest of the organization well. But since the more detailed planning would probably bore you, let's go straight to the next chapter.

The trip & the set-up

The expoSE took place on 17.11. & 18.11. on Wednesdays and Thursdays. On Tuesday morning, Sebastian, Béla and Holger left Münster with a fully packed van to Karlsruhe Exhibition Center Headed off to Rheinstetten. It started around 6 o'clock in the morning and at half past 1 in the afternoon we were at the exhibition center.

After a brief inspection of the situation, construction began. By the way, you can find a picture of the Final result of our stand. We were definitely very satisfied! At around 6 pm, reinforcements arrived in the form of Jan-Hendrik, Marc and Maike. That was a good thing, because we had already done a bit and were tired. At around 10 o'clock, we were finally completely done with everything.

In the evening we went out to eat pizza in a small pizzeria, very close to our Airbnb apartment. The pizza was delicious and there was Goldköpfle, a type of beer from the local Höpfner-Brauerei. What more could you want?

After that, we went straight to sleep, as we were all very tired and of course wanted to be fit for the trade fair.

Day 1 of the fair

Then it was time: The first day of the fair had begun. At 9 o'clock in the morning, the trade fair really started, we as exhibitors were allowed to enter the fair around half past 9 and get ready for the visitors. In the beginning, we have a few at the main entrance flyers Each comes with a small pack of gummy bears spaced. With this, we wanted to make ourselves felt directly.

That worked well too and we were able to do it throughout the day many, very interesting conversations lead. Opposite was a stand from the team of Dietrich specialties built up. We got a small snack from them in between, very delicious!

Otherwise, you can only say that the day really Went very well for us. We had lots to do and it was fun. It almost went like clockwork! In the evening, we went to a rustic restaurant in downtown Karlsruhe for a (vegan) schnitzel and a few beers.

Day 2 of the fair

Well rested and in a good mood, it started for the second time. The first day went great, so we were in good spirits. At the start of the fair distributed Béla and Holger Some flyers again to visitors who flocked through the entrance halls. Unfortunately, he was stream buts Not as strong as the previous day.

We will also have that during the day Remarked again and again. There were certainly phases where we were in 4 consultations at the same time. However, these phases were limited compared to day 1.

But we have Made the best of the situation, that much is certain! Because even on day 2, we were once again able to introduce our Freight Pilot to some interested parties. So the day has Definitely worth it.

Dismantling and return

Day 2 of the fair officially lasted until 5 p.m., then it was over. However, there were hardly any visitors in the halls from around 4 p.m., and some stands were already dismantled. We had a tight schedulebecause we wanted to go back to Münster in the evening.

So we decided to do that, too slowly with the Dismantle to start. Fortunately, this was much faster than setting it up, so we were done with everything and were on the road again by 7 p.m. After refueling and a quick visit to Burger King on the motorway, it was time to head home.

On Fridays, Sebastian and Holger have the Transporter still cleaned out, because that's part of it 😉 And that was it with the trade fair. We are currently at post-processing, which means, for example, that we contact interested parties.

conclusion

All in all, you can only say that the trade fair a resounding success was. Although we wanted a little more visitors, we still have Made the best of it. And the Still fun Definitely too not on the track!

What else is there to say? Definitely that we hope you enjoyed this slightly different post and were able to entertain yourself!

So the résumé is: We are Super happy and we're looking forward to being back at expoSE next year! When it's that time again, you'll find out as usual here in the blog and on our social media channels like instagram and facebook!
